What is an Endowment?

Ati Evolution Foundation was created in 2016 following a generous foundational gift from one of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu’s students of many years. The gift was presented to Rinpoche in 2015, after which, he instructed Mark Farrington to set up the Foundation and Endowment.
The idea for a perpetual endowment was first proposed to Chögyal Namkhai Norbu in 2011 by Mark Farrington as a vehicle to ensure the long-term viability of Rinpoche’s many projects around the world that required constant energy and financial resources to sustain.
Along with the creation of a Global Gar that physically linked all of his centres, Chögyal Namkhai Norbu trusted in the endowment structure to keep his legacy alive far in to the future.
