  • Mark Farrington

    Mark Farrington has been a student of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu since 1991, working to help realise his vision on a number of projects around the world. With 30 years of experience in international finance and politics, Mark has the ideal professional background to oversee the Ati Evolution Foundation. Mark has a BSc International Finance from Oregon State University and MSc International Strategy and Diplomacy from London School of Economics and Political Science. He currently works and lives in London, after 17 years in Tokyo, Singapore and Sydney, and is an experienced fund manager.

  • Efrem Marder

    Efrem Marder was a founding member of the Dzogchen Community of America in 1982 and major donor to projects of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu for many years. He brings to the Ati Evolution Foundation Board a wealth of professional experience in International finance and investment management, and his extensive experience in fund raising for charitable entities. Efrem holds an MA in Math/Stat from University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

  • Dr Ekaterina Valeeva-Farrington

    Dr Ekaterina Valeeva-Farrington holds a MA (1999) and PhD degree (2006) in Linguistics and Literature from Saint-Petersburg State University, and a MA (2016) in Voice Studies from Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, London. In addition to this formal education at western universities, she studied Traditional Tibetan Medicine from 2006-2012. She studied under renowned Tibetan doctors Nida Chenagtsang, Phuntsok Wangmo, Mägmaar Suuren and specialist in Astrology; Lama Lobsang Darji. Her main Teacher in overall Tibetan Buddhist Studies since 2006 has been Chögyal Namkhai Norbu.

  • Dr Charles Oliphant of Rossie

    Dr Jamyang Oliphant of Rossie studied Tibetan religions, language and culture at the University of Oxford. His doctoral dissertation examined rejuvenating Tibetan medical practices. He has lived and travelled in Asia since his youth and leads tours to religious sites in a number of countries there. He is passionate about Tibetan culture and continues to research, lecture and publish on different aspects of Himalayan religion, medicine and history. He is a third generation student of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu and co-editor of Sharro: Festschift for Chögyal Namkhai Norbu.

  • Julia Lawless

    Julia Lawless has been a student of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu since 1980 and was instrumental in setting up the Shang Shung Institute UK in 2010, and thereafter was Principal Director for 10 years. Julia is a writer by profession. She is the co-author of ‘Beyond Words: An Introduction to Dzogchen’ and has edited several books, including ‘Guru Arya Tara & her 21 Praises’ published by Shang Shung Editions. She is also co-owner and Managing Director of Aqua Oleum Ltd, an international natural health & well-being company, has written several best-selling books in the field and acts as a consultant to the industry.
